When it comes to dinner, having a reliable dressing recipe on hand can make things a lot easier! One of my personal favorites is Quick and Easy Italian Dressing. Not only is it packed with fresh flavor, but it’s also incredibly easy to make – you might even find yourself craving salads every day!
Over the holidays, I indulged in some delicious but not-so-healthy food that has left me feeling less than my best. Combine that with some knee issues that have prevented me from working out, and I’ve gained more weight than I’d like to admit. My body is crying out for some fresh fruits and veggies, which is why I’ve been going to physical therapy and making an effort to eat cleaner with my husband. And what better way to do that than by making my own salad dressing from scratch?
Out of all the dressings out there, I think Quick and Easy Italian Dressing is one of the simplest to make. I usually have most of the ingredients in my pantry or fridge, and it only takes a few minutes to chop them up, drop them into a jar, shake everything up, and voila – you’re good to go! This dressing is so flavorful that it makes it easy to want to eat more salad. When healthy eating is this delicious and convenient, it’s easy to make it a habit.
Here’s what you’ll need to make Quick and Easy Italian Dressing:
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp minced red onion
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
- Add all of the ingredients into a mason jar.
- Shake the jar vigorously until all of the ingredients are combined.
That’s it! You’re now ready to enjoy your delicious, homemade Italian dressing.
