Air Fryer Instructions

Follow the same steps, omitting the oil and instead spraying the asparagus with cooking spray. Season the asparagus and place it in the air fryer basket set at 400°F (200°C). Air fry for 7-10 minutes or until the asparagus achieves a slight char.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound (225 grams) fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons (45 grams) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1½ teaspoons (7.5 g) garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon (2 g) black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.
  2. Rinse the asparagus and trim off the woody end pieces (or snap as shown in the picture above).
  3. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus, then sprinkle with Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper. Using tongs, toss the asparagus to coat evenly. Spread the asparagus back out into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until tender. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!
