You’ll love these soft and fluffy cottage cheese donuts and you’ll make them all the time. You can serve them sprinkled with powdered sugar, or with jam or chocolate paste.
Ingredients:
- egg, 1 pc;
- cottage cheese, 400 g;
- sugar, 3 tbsp;
- pinch of salt;
- kefir, 2 tbsp;
- soda, 0.5 tsp;
- flour, 2 tbsp.
Instructions:
Whip the egg with a pinch of salt and sugar.
Mix the cottage cheese with the egg mixture until homogeneous.
Pour in kefir, add baking soda and knead.
Add sifted flour and knead the dough.
Cover the mass and leave it for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll out each part in the form of a sausage.
Cut into small pieces.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry donuts on low heat on all sides.
Place on paper towels so that they absorb the excess oil and put it on a plate.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with other sweet toppings of your choice.
These doughnuts are a good and quick breakfast and can be made on the road or for a picnic.
You can cook them in a deep fryer, but I got used to it the old-fashioned way, like my mom taught me, in boiling oil.
