The simplest dough can be very soft and tender, suitable for savory patties. You can make them with any filling you like: minced meat, cottage cheese with herbs, eggs with green onions.
flour, 500 g;
water, 300 ml;
salt, 1 tsp;
dill and chives to taste;
butter, 150 g;
vegetable oil, 50 ml;
salt, pepper, spices.
Pour salt in water, stir and pour sifted flour.
Knead a soft and elastic dough, cover and leave for 20 minutes.
Finely chop the green onions and dill, mix and add the diced boiled eggs.
Salt and pepper the stuffing.
Cut the dough into small pieces and roll out each one into a thin cake.
Grease the flatbread with melted butter and sprinkle the filling, fold it into an envelope, dabbing it with butter each time and rolling it with a rolling pin.
Fry the tortillas in a frying pan greased with vegetable oil. Cover the frying pan with a lid and fry on low heat until brown.
When removed from the pan, stack one on top of the other and brush each tortilla with butter.
Very tender and flavorful tortillas are the perfect accompaniment to a variety of dishes at a picnic or simple dinner.
