A very simple pie recipe without using a mixer. It is worth noting that this pie is very fast – only about 35 minutes in the oven, and the preparatory takes about 10-15 minutes. Excellent for cooking in a country house, no need to knead yeast dough and wait for it to rise. And I think there are green onions in every vegetable garden.
With the advent of vegetable season, my grandmother makes this pie very often. The pie is so tender that it just “melts” in your mouth.
Ingredients
Stuffing:
- 200 gr. green onions
- 4 eggs (boiled)
- Salt, pepper to taste
- 20g of melted butter
Dough:
- 2 eggs + 1 egg white
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 350 gr. sour cream
- 200-250 grams. flour (I had 210 grams)
- 10 g. baking powder
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tbsp. sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
At first thing preheat the oven to 190 C, since the dough and the filling cook very quickly.
Then add the eggs, a piece of melted butter, which tastes better, pepper and salt to taste. The filling should be slightly over-salted, then the pie will have a balanced taste.
For the dough, in a bowl we send the eggs, in general you need 2 eggs, in my case they are very small, I added 3. Immediately add salt, sugar and sour cream, for baking I always use 15% fat sour cream. Now we mix everything.
Add flour with baking powder and knead the dough to the consistency of thick sour cream, I had 210 grams of flour. It remains to add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and the dough is ready.
Grease the mold with butter and add a little semolina. The size of my mold is 27 by 20 cm.
Pour half of the batter into the bottom of the mold.
Next, pour and distribute the filling for the pie.
Fill the filling with the second half of the dough.
Brush the top with egg and milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds for beauty.
Bake for 30-35 minutes at 190 degrees.
Brush the finished pie with butter, so it will be even softer.
I had a pie in the process of baking in one place cracked, but it did not affect the taste.
Our beautiful pie is ready! Bon appetit!
