  • ⅔ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups (260 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg yolk, room temperature

Toppings

  • ¼ cup milk chocolate chips, melted
  • ½ cup caramel topping
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

Thumbprint Cookies

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough:

In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.

Mix in the almond extract, all-purpose flour, and egg yolk until the dough comes together.

Form the Cookies:

Roll the dough into 1½-inch (4 cm) balls and place them on the lined cookie sheet.
